Deaf-Blind Week includes educational workshops, arts and crafts, as well as recreational activities for self-governing Deaf-Blind adults (ages 16 and older). Participants will attend lectures and activities designed to foster independence and self-advocacy. Deaf-Blind participants also provide interpreters and CART providers with learning opportunities through lectures (Wednesday) and hands-on experience (Thursday to Saturday). Support personnel are exposed to the various accommodations, methods and cultural awareness needs for working with those having both hearing and vision loss. Continuing Education Units Available.
