DeafBlind Workshop

Wednesday, June 24 - Sunday, June 28, 2015

Program Director: Jill Gaus

The program will include educational workshops, arts and crafts, and recreational activities for self-governing DeafBlind adults, who must be ages 18 and older in order to attend.

Participants will attend lectures and activities designed to foster independence and self-advocacy. DeafBlind participants are provided interpreters and CART providers with learning opportunities through lectures (Thursday) and hands-on experience (Friday to Sunday).

Support personnel are exposed to the various accommodations, methods and cultural awareness needs for working with those having both hearing and vision loss.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available.

For more information or to receive a registration form please contact Jill Gaus.
