Family Week Two is a week long educational and recreational program designed for families with a child or children with hearing loss between ages 1 - 6. The programs consist of workshops for parents led by a Deaf professional from the Laurent Clerc Center at Gallaudet University. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and learn new techniques.
While parents attend morning classes, children are kept busy by our wonderful staff of deaf and hard of hearing counselors. Children participate in drama, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and educational experiments, including age appropriate activities just for the toddlers. Peaceful afternoons give families free time to enjoy the waterfront, take walks through the woods, or rest in the comfort of their own suite style bedroom. Evenings are filled with fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
