Youth Career Development and Exploration is a week long program open to deaf and hard of hearing students from the high school graduating classes of 2013, 2014, and 2015. The program is designed for students who plan to attend college and those who plan to find a job right after high school.
Our dedicated staff will instruct students on the skills required as they apply for college or their first job. Student will also learn about the resources available as they determine and prepare for their future career goals. Students will learn everything from filling out an application, to using social media websites, to dressing appropriately for the workplace.
Workshops will include presentations on job related skills and hands-on activities. Students will also have time to enjoy the beautiful waterfront and take part in team building exercises.
Completion of the course will provide a strong foundation of interpersonal skills and tools to utilize resources for a successful outcome.
