Program Description
Family Literacy Weekend is a fun, interactive weekend designed for families with Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing children ages 2–12. Throughout the weekend, families will participate in engaging literacy activities, explore children's books through American Sign Language (ASL), and learn strategies to support language development and early literacy at home. Families will also have the opportunity to connect with other families while learning from our Community Health & Literacy Program (CHLP) mentors.

Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25
Who Can Attend
- Families with Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing children ages 2–12
- Parents, guardians, and caregivers
- Hearing siblings of any age are welcome
Cost
$125 per adult |$75 per child
The registration fee includes lodging, meals, activities, and presenter fees.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to reserve your family's spot.
ASL Experience
Families with all levels of ASL experience are welcome. While some exposure to ASL is encouraged, it is not required to attend. ASL interpreters will be available throughout the weekend to ensure all families can fully participate.
