Program Description

ASL Immersion Weekend is designed for adults who want to strengthen their American Sign Language (ASL) skills in a fully immersive setting.

Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced signer, you'll expand your vocabulary, improve expressive and receptive signing skills, strengthen your fingerspelling, explore classifiers, and deepen your understanding of Deaf culture and linguistics.

Participants stay onsite at Holley Family Village and experience a true voice-off environment, where ASL is used throughout the weekend—from classrooms and workshops to meals and social activities. To maximize language immersion, participants are expected to communicate using ASL for the duration of the program. The weekend includes engaging lessons, interactive workshops, group games, skits, and other activities designed to build confidence and fluency while connecting with others who share a passion for ASL.
